Cobalt Blue Pearl Drop Chain Earrings — Handmade by Lorena Medinilla | De Petra
There are earrings that whisper. These are not those.
This one-of-a-kind pair of statement earrings is a work of pure wearable art, handcrafted entirely by Houston artist Lorena Medinilla. Each earring begins with a hand-crocheted cobalt blue textile panel, intricately embroidered with rows of tiny gold seed beads that catch light like a constellation. Below it, a polished gold ring connector anchors a luminous blush freshwater pearl drop — oval, glowing, utterly feminine. Flanking the pendant, four cascading strands of fine gold ball chain fall freely, swaying with every movement and creating a dramatic fringe effect that commands the room.
The result is a piece that belongs equally at a gallery opening, a rooftop dinner, or an intimate trunk show — wherever a woman of taste chooses to be extraordinary.
Clip-on back closure makes these accessible and comfortable for all-day wear.
Formerly carried in Anthropologie stores nationwide and Free People, De Petra pieces are now exclusively available through Kuhl-Linscomb in Houston, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston shop, and directly through the artist's studio. Each piece is one of a kind — when it's gone, it's gone forever.
